Description These Universal Ball-and-Socket Chip Shields are constructed in a variety of options and sizes to fit the needs of almost anyone. These shields are ideal for mills, drills, grinders, bandsaws or just about anywhere a machine makes a mess. These products are perfect for protecting operators from swarf, sparks, coolant and everything else that machine wants to throw. These shields are built from a high-impact-resistant, 3/16” thick clear poly-carbonate, handpicked for its extreme toughness and ability to protect the operator. Each shield (excluding the ‘flat shield’) has convenient holes in each corner, allowing for mounting on either side of the machine. The shields are come equipped with universal ball and socket arms, providing simple movement and adjustment. Large polypropylene plastic handles are used to positioning and locking and all standard mounting hardware is included. The universal arm can be furnished in the following sizes: 21″, 31″, or 44″. The universal ball-and-socket chip shields can be furnished with side panels formed at 30°, 90°, or 30° and 90° angles. These shields are also available in a flat or concave shape. These shields are ideal for protection machine operators and employees from sparks, debris and coolant generated from the machine.
