Description These Magnetic-Base Chip Shields are perfect for lathes, small milling machines, grinders, drills, band-saws and any machine with a flat ferrous surface. These shields feature a magnetic base with a pull force of 80lbs. Large polypropylene plastic handles are used for easy positioning and locking. The clear portion of this shield is constructed of a 3/16”-thick clear poly-carbonate material. This shield features a circular base which measures 3-½” in diameter. A 8” aluminum base extrusion is provided and attaches to a magnetic base. A 12” Extruded-Aluminum Arm Extension is also available; which can be cut shorter if required by your application. If a flat, ferrous surface is not available, a 3-½” x 4-⅝” Mounting plate is also furnished to the base of this shield.
