Description Share Post AdventureMice: Mousehole to the Centre of the Earth Written and illustrated by Philip Reeve and Sarah McIntyre (David Fickling Books) AdventureMice: Mousehole to the Centre of the Earth is the seventh instalment in this excellent series. This time, the AdventureMice team goes on an underground mission using a new machine, the Mechanical Mole, invented by Uncle Bernie. Pedro isn’t wildly happy about this, because the mechanical mole has torn up his carefully tended vegetable patch. Nevertheless, Pedro and his crew travel deep into the earth. Here they stumble into a bizarre subterranean cave world, the Cave of Ferns. It’s a strange world with tiny, twisty trees and colourful walls and…….miniature pterodactyls! More worryingly, the team soon learn that a giant predator, the Hamstersaurus Rex lives in the Cave of Ferns. This fearsome creature has a blood-curdling roar and is terrorising the local cavemice. The Adventuremice are always up for a challenge however, and they resolve to save the day. Their attempts to capture the hamstersaurus meet with failure, until they begin to realise that perhaps the creature just wants to play. Bookwagon is proud to stock the entire AdventureMice series, starting with AdventureMice: Otter Chaos. It’s a funny, charming series that keeps on giving.
