Description Share Post One Cat Two Cats A lift- the- flap, pop- up book with 20 cats to count! Jonathan Emmett, Rob Hodgson (Nosy Crow) Who’s behind the door? Shall we lift-the-flap and begin our counting? Thereafter, One Cat Two Cats. However, that’s not all, for we move from three to four, five to six. What’s more, these animals are each numbered. That means we can see how they move through the pages, and recognise their progress. For example, the first puss we meet. withlong white whiskers and bold green eyes, goes from startled, to seated loaf, scratching to rat chasing! Then again, the variety of colours, shapes and behaviour makes it really interesting. In fact, there’s not only the anticipation of where we’ll find the next feline, but also where we’ll see one we’ve encountered already. Then again, wy is the eighth puss so big? Could it be that number six is rather pampered? How did the second lose its eye? This book is so sturdily constructed, with such strong and varied flaps and pop ups throughout, rather like Croc’s Cooking Day, for example. Then again, this title is from two very experienced writers and illustrators, in Jonathan Emmett and Rob Hodgson. All in all, it means that One Cat Two Cats is a really appealing book. What’s more, we recommend this title for reading aloud, sharing, returning to and knowing well. It is a book ideal for gifting and for keen, happy reading.
