Like The Cat and the King, for example, this book is a fabulous choice for readers gaining in confidence. Not only are the stories amusing and accessible, but they’re so diverting! What is Mr Gaskitt up to? Then again, we’re in the hands of the wonderful Allan Ahlberg. We cannot recommend this title highly enough.
